Every home should be planned with a view to making it maintenance free as much as possible. Not many have time or interest in gardening but pleasant surroundings make any house into a comfortable home. Landscaping is, therefore, essential to get right but not necessarily to cost a fortune. Milano, Centro Direzionale Leoni I've mentioned several times my vicinity with conceptual art as a mean to have some control in what I would call the photographic performance, the one each photographer performs when taking pictures. In some ways, in landscape, the photographer's performance overlaps with land, body art and even dance as I pointed out a few posts ago . Conceptual art introduced a procedural way to operate, to make intentional sides of the artistic practice other ways shadowed by routine doing. Conceptual art may be suspected to have a high degree of boredom associated, it is not always the case as explained in this article: " Paragraphs on Conceptual Art " by Sol Lewitt that I have enjoyed reading for its clarity and concision. Indigenous Beauties : Dissotis princeps

Dissotis princeps Wild Tibouchina Dissotis princeps is a wild and princely plant. It flowers off and on from the end of Summer right through to the beginning of Spring. Its an ideal plant in wet or damp areas in the garden, it flowers for long periods, and loves full sun. Its also an easy plant to grow, it grows very fast, and can be cut right back after flowering. Its common name is the Wild Tibouchina because it looks similar to the Tibouchina we see in established gardens, but its also known as the Royal Dissotis, because princeps means 'princely' in latin. Its been known to be used as an aphrodisiac, and been harvested as a vegetable in difficult times.
